Silvia Victoria is an artist living and working in western Connecticut, where she paints in acrylics and oils. Her abstracts as well as the plant inspired works or landscapes are freely influenced by her Brazilian born essence and memories, reflecting a joyful and spontaneous serenity.
Essentially a self-thought artist, Silvia has continued her education at the Art Students League in New York City, at Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, CT and at HelenDay Art Center in Stowe, Vermont. In her graphic arts background, she has done courseworks including a certification in Multimedia Technology by New York University and Digital Design at School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her work has been featured in Family Living Magazine from Sweden and more recently, her “Celebration” painting was featured in Uppercase Magazine as a finalist of the magazine’s cover artwork contest on their commemorative 10th year anniversary issue.
“Moved by curiosity and appreciation for nature, I aim for positivity in my work where I gravitate towards spontaneity and the unexpected discoveries in the studio. I’m passionate about the constant learning and the experiments with new techniques and their resulting textures.
My work range from a quiet intensity moved by the calm of meditative lines to more expressive textured paintings that to me, can speak more than words. One of my happiest accomplishments come from bringing a sense of joy and inspiration to others with my art”.
